Flipped Classroom-Based Corpus for EFL Grammar Instruction: Outcomes and Perceptions

Although a wide array of studies has sufficiently documented the use Flipped and Corpus learning methods in ELT context respectively, marrying both EFL grammar classes remains scanty. To fill this gap, collaborative action research (CAR) jointly designed implemented flipped classroom-based corpus instruction involving an English instructor to promote students’ grammatical knowledge their perceptions on how model promoted challenges they encountered at Indonesian state Islamic University. Pre-, mid- post-tests measuring were administered, open-ended questionnaire focus group discussion respectively distributed conducted garner qualitative evidence. The statistical evidence showed that there statistically practically significant gains end term. suggested it was due adequacy input feedbacks from peers instructor. students also perceived low internet bandwidth lack understanding Coca database primary barriers, while found more daunting cater instruction.
